We look forward to welcoming you to Foz do Iguaçu in September 2025!

First of all, it is with great pleasure and pride that I address you, through the Brazilian Seed and Seedling Association – ABRASEM, to invite you to participate in the 10th Congress of the Seed Association of the Americas – SAA, which will be held in the city of Foz do Iguaçu, in the state of Paraná, BRAZIL, in 2025.
Since its foundation, ABRASEM has been working to value the Brazilian seed sector, mainly through its Association principles, which are:
- Protection of intellectual property;
- The development and constant search for new technologies;
- The development and maintenance of regulatory themes that regulate the sector;
- Education and communication.
The brazilian seed sector, through ABRASEM, has been gaining national and international prominence due to the quality of the seeds produced and sold in Brazil.
Through the various Associations and companies affiliated with ABRASEM, we are constantly seeking to improve relations with the most modern technologies and innovations in the seed sector, with the support of government entities, international entities and the private sector.
Genetic editing in Brazil is a reality that is very advanced, and with the support and dedication of the National Technical Commission on Biosafety – CTNBio, we have been using Innovative Genetic Improvement Technologies, aiming at the protection of human health at its most diverse levels, always in search of Biosafety and Genetic Innovations that enable the evolution of seeds.
Brazil currently ranks 9th among the 10 largest economies in the world, and has and preserves its native vegetation in 66.3% of its territory. Of these preserved areas, 33.2% are within rural properties and are preserved by the rural landowners who own these areas. Brazil uses only 30.2% of its territory for agricultural use and planting of its crops.
Therefore, and for these reasons, I invite you to come and participate in this great Congress, which will be held in Foz do Iguaçu – PR, recognized as the city that is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The complex has 275 falls that extend for almost five kilometers of the Iguaçu River.
A big hug, see you soon.
